George & Debbi Bryson
In the summer of 1991, George Bryson was asked to take a team from Calvary Chapel of Vista into Moscow, Russia to start the first Calvary Chapel of Russia. In less than two weeks, a short term mission team of 19 witnessed the birth of the first Calvary Chapel in Moscow and the beginning of what is now called Calvary Chapel Church Planting Mission. The method and aim of this ministry is as simple as it is exciting. A group of short-term missionaries spend about ten days evangelizing the lost and discipling those that are saved from this evangelism. Another ministry team of mostly Russian nationals (now) stay behind to ensure that the newly formed church gets the pastoral and ministry care it needs to grow.
CCCPM uses contemporary Christian music concerts (with bands from America and Russia) to draw mostly young people. During these concerts they do one-on-one evangelism and as well as preach the gospel on the stage. CCCPM also uses competitive and non competitive sports programs to reach the Russian youth with the love of Jesus Christ. More recently they have been giving a lot of time and attention to reaching out to orphans.
As the ministry has grown, George now has a Biblecollege and full time staff located in Snigiri, a suburb of Moscow. He has several pastor conferences each year at which he brings in Bible teachers from America to help train the Russian pastors.
Debbi Bryson has a teaching ministry called Bible Bus Stop and teaches women all over the world. She leads a team of women from the USA to Russia every winter for a Bible conference in the Moscow area.
